INTACH Thrissur has been carrying out the mapping of the trees in the Maidan, which is a Cultural, Spiritual, Ecological, and Social Space for Thrissur for Centuries. The volunteers and experts could identify 661 trees of 93 species and highlights the rich biodiversity of the Maidan and serves as a critical tool for its conservation and landscape study. The initiative aims to support the ongoing efforts to revamp and preserve this historic space for future generations.
